First Speaker Series: The Neuroscience of Raising Happy Kids

We're thrilled to announce the return of our Speaker Series, bringing together the thought leaders in parenting, psychology, neuroscience, and education who have most inspired us in designing Millennium. We'll kick off this year's series with a particularly exciting speaker, Dr. Dacher Keltner, founder of the Greater Good Science Center at UC-Berkeley. Dr. Keltner is one of the pioneers in applying the tools of modern neuroscience and psychology to understand well-being - how do we become happy, and help to raise (or educate) kids for happy and fulfilling lives?

Dr. Keltner has written several books on this topic, including Born to Be Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life, and the forthcoming The Power Paradox: How We Gain and Lose Influence. He also collaborated with Pixar on the film Inside Out, one of the most compelling presentations of neuroscience as it applies to adolescents.

Join us on Tuesday, October 4th, at 7pm - click here to RSVP. This event is free and open to the public. Special thanks to the San Francisco Friends School for co-hosting this event with us.
