NAVIGATING THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

The process begins with an all-family informational meeting in spring of seventh grade and culminates with high school enrollment in spring of eighth grade. Millennium’s Director of High School Counseling, Erin Gevertz, works closely with families to chart appropriate educational trajectories, involving individual meetings to discuss school lists, timelines, and application pieces.

BUILDING PERSONAL CONNECTIONS

Seventh Grade Preparation

High school counseling support begins in the spring of seventh grade with:

  • Weekly high school preparation class focusing on researching school options
  • A get-to-know-you family meeting to create individualized school lists for summer research

PREPARATION & EXPLORATION

EIGHTH GRADE PREPARATION

From September to January, eighth graders participate in weekly High School Prep Classes, learning strategies for:

  • Getting to know schools
  • Interviews
  • School visits
  • Essay writing
  • Short answer questions

Families receive individualized counseling and feedback on written application statements in virtual and during class meetings.

COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT

Our approach ensures each student is well-prepared to meet the demands of the high school admissions process and make informed decisions aligning with their personal and academic growth.
