Leadership & Expertise
independent goverance
Millennium is governed by an independent, self-perpetuating Board of Trustees, overseeing both Millennium.org and Millennium School. As with other NAIS member and CAIS-accredited independent schools, the Board:
- Determines Millennium’s mission, strategic goals, and policy positions
- Acts as fiduciary for future generations of students
- Oversees financial health, approves annual budgets, and manages physical assets and fundraising
- Selects, evaluates, and supports the Head of School
The Board does not involve itself in day-to-day operations, disciplinary or personnel issues, or admissions decisions, which fall under the Head of School’s responsibilities.
Trustees serve as stewards and ambassadors of Millennium’s mission, adhering to the “Principles of Good Practice” established by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
Millennium is a member of NAIS and is accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS).
