Student Leadership
Authentic leadership and ownership experiences are crucial in developing well-rounded adolescents. By stepping into roles of real responsibility, students develop vital real-world skills and exercise their agency, providing direct leadership to peers and the broader school community.
Student Government
The student government model goes beyond the typical middle school student council.
Students engage in:
- Making laws
- Initiating new projects
- Advocating for policies
- Amending school rules
Student Government began as part of a humanities Quest exploring different forms of government, allowing students to establish a governance model that resonates with their understanding of effective leadership. They drafted the Millennium Constitution, which guides Student Government. Annually, ten students are elected as representatives, actively embodying principles of democratic governance and student empowerment.
